It mounts behind the rear seat against the rear wall if you have a crew cab.I hope you didnt have to pay for it.If you did,get ready to be disappointed.
Passenger side if it is a crew. My jack is on the drivers side. Should fit like a glove if it is the correct one. Plug s/b in the vicinity if it is lariat. If not, you may have to run wires yourself.

That may be the problem. It's not a lariat and, obviously, didn't come with a subwoofer from the factory. Is it unlikely to have the wiring for one then?
My dealer gave me the impression the wiring should be there and it should be 'plug and play'.
There is a good possibility the wire will be there. You didn't say what or style cab you have, but looking at the 2015 wiring diagram, it appears it might be in the wiring harness for the seat belt, door speakers that runs to the rear...check under the mats and you
might find it....it sure didn't appear to be a separate wiring harness.

Sorry its a 2015 XLT crew cab.
I'll try to have a look later today to see if I can see it around the seatbelt wiring.
I don't think that it's "plug & play" for our truck. The XLT wiring diagram just shows the wires for four "standard" speakers. The subwoofer and its amplifier are included with the "Premium Audio" at the Larait & above trim levels.
I think that in addition to the subwoofer, you're going to have to get a line level converter to tap into the audio ouputs, an amplifier, and some sort of a crossover network to power that sub-woofer speaker.
