I have a 1994 F250. I have a red light on right next to the dual gas tank switch. This light is always on and won't go off even when the key is removed from the ignition. According to the manual, this light is called the "Master Lighting Switch".
Does anyone know what this light is trying to tell me?
welcome to FTE.
i am not familiar with the 94 trucks, but someone will be along shortly that will be able to help you.
i am going to forward this to subford. Bill knows just about everything electrical there is to know about these trucks.
According to the manual, this light is called the "Master Lighting Switch".
In the 1995 F-series owners manual the head light switch **** has arrow pointing to it and calls it the Master Lighting Switch.
But there is no light for it.
That name is not referred to in any of the other Ford manuals (1994 Ford shop manual or the 1994 Truck EV&TS manual).
It sounds like someone has installed a lamp there that is not a factory installed feature.
So no body can help with this on line and you will just have to trace the wires to find out what the lamp is for.
Can you post a photo of it or email it to me?
My email address is at the bottom of this post.
That used to be a popular spot to install an indicator lamp for an alarm, remote starter or similar aftermarket device. Does the truck have any of these?
