Ive got a 1977 F100 Custom with the 302 and 3 speed auto, RWD.
I had a custom exhaust job on the truck when I got it but the whole exhaust system is getting replaced and I need new headers.
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a set of long headers that will clear everything, give me good noise, are fairly long lasting and won't cost me a fortune? Any suggestions would be awesome!
I threw so cheap flowtech long tubes on my 78 150 2wd with a 302 and it sounds good, has a little more grunt on the low end, and was about $145. Just paint them with some good high temp coating before install and they are good to go. Merge drivers side slid in fine but the pass anger side one needed some motivation by unbolting and jacking up the motor and hitting 2 of the tubes with a mallet to get them to go in. If you are looking for ease just get short tubes and be done with it.
