Speedo not working
My speedo has stopped working (it started failing by going up to a certain speed and then stopping, but gradually got the point where it doesn't work at all). My cruise control is also non-functional (I assume that's because it needs to know what speed I am doing!). The ABS light is also on (related?).
I have seen threads on this related to automatic tranny trucks, but mine is a 6 speed manual and I have no idea where to start. Any ideas guys?

Speedo is determined from the vehicle speed sensor vss , which is on the rear differential. It's part of the abs system so ya it makes sense that the lights on. I'm not sure how to properly diagnose the problem without just throwing a new vss at it. I know with AE you have to go into abs to recalibrate the speedo for bigger wheels. Maybe there is a functional test in there you can run?
