Good catch? It was 2.95 a quart and total 41.30 equaling 14 quarts. How many quarts does it take???
It's supposed to take 13 quarts. Might be worth checking your oil level to make sure they didn't overfill. An extra quart probably wouldn't hurt anything if they did.
im glad i switched to the H&S fuel filter conversion i pay $10 for the engine mounted at napa auto and $20 for the frame mounted filter from afe.com

Thanks Tom I will go out and check it. My 7.3 took 16 quarts That's when I was doing it myself. So 14 quarts didn't seem so far fetched.
As far as the fuel filter I watched a video and will be changing it myself. It's simple and really getting whacked at the dealer.

I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you were still under warranty. If still under warranty, I wouldn't dream of changing from the OEM filters. Ford would love to blame that for a HPFP issue...
