What is it with you guys, these days? Is the weather too hot or what?

Too often I open a post and see name calling, hot tempers, pure arrogance and spiteful bitching. This is not what is needed here, I get plenty of that in the real world, I do not need it in the virtual one. How about not getting annoyed if you don't agree with someone; just ignore it, or tone down the attitude. Some of the recent posts are completely off the wall. Crazy folk don't shout what I have been reading here.

I come here for information and interest, not to be shocked by who can use the most spite in their post. Please guys, stop making this board a place to avoid.

Theo

Theologian -- I'm not seeing what you're talking about. I only hang out in the Explorer and General Conversation forums though. Are you talking about other forums than these?

I spend a lot of time in 67-72 and 73-79 and here and don't see this. The whole site seems to be well moderated imo.

Theologian: I must be missing something here also, but if there is, it might be the way some people express themselves and their point of view!! If its in the general conversation forum, I guess thats where people would air out their views!

Just my view,
Lenny

I have noticed this also, and have reported a couple posts. I will say those posts have been taken care of in a timely manner by the moderators, who I think are doing a good job. But, I agree that if your post is going to be something like "If you're that ignorant take it somewhere and have somebody else work on it" don't even bother to post that garbage. I have noticed it's usually the newer members that post this kind of junk. Maybe where they used to hang out, that's how things were done. But around here, that's not how anyone is expected to conduct themselves.

I think what Theo is referring to is the personal insults that are showing up.
Instead of people getting their point across without Making PERSONAL comments.

It is fine to have an opinion, It is Bickering,Personal Insults, Baiting, and snide remarks that have been made.

For the last few weeks we have had no less than about 10 threads relating to Politics, then the snide comments, bickering starts, etc, etc, etc.

The Ford Vs forum was closed to do to much bickering with emotional posts instead of TECHNICAL discussion.

GC and FvC are/were the "troublesome spots" here. I have seen only a few problems in the other forums. We have lost a lot of good contributors with lots of expertise to squabbles in GC or FvC.
