Front Shock Mount replacement

Hi:

I found changing my tires this week that my front upper shock mount on my 1960 F100 is slightly cracked. Probably 1/2 inch today. I found that these are not easy to find over the last day.

Where can I get a new one? If not new or the same, what is a good replacement. Stock height leaf springs on a straight axle.

Try going to your local muffler shop and have them weld the crack?

You have to find someone that is parting out a truck and frame. Try Randy at 209-652-4815

I would avoid muffler shops, the elders most I've been to have are 110 and are not worth much more than to tack weld exhoust pipe together.

Pull the bracket off and take it to a fabrication shop.

If it's mine I would just do it myself but I've got a mig and stick welder at 2 of the 3 shops I use.

There are two guys doing the front end swap right now that will not be using the original shock set up. Give them a shout!
