Ive been into auto collision,Restoration for over 30yrs. I would charge more to repair the OP box sides than i would to R&R an outer complete skin, patching is much more labor intense than an outer skin. While the complete skin is off you can easily repair and correct any issue there is behind the skin. I will be replacing my skin's this spring and if any one would like i can do a step by step to show how easy this is and what tools you need, i have both complete box side outer skins sitting here waiting.
I'd be interested in seeing that too...are the panels you have the same as what LMC carries?

i have an account with Sherman's here in Mich. I dont know how to do video's but i'll take tons of pic's and explain the best i can, i will do them using the most basic tools needed that alot of guy's have in there home shop/garage or can afford to buy to do the job, normally id use my plasma cutter alot to do this but i wont here and can do both sides start to finish in less than 8hrs,. If you dont have a welder yourself,i'll show you what to do to R&R so you can drive your truck to your buddy's or a shop that you can pay to do the welding for you. Where should i post this when the time comes????? Also, i will be doing door skins from this place, ive not used there parts yet but herd nothing but good and there the only ones ive found that come close to a full skin. https://tabcoparts.com/60030.html
if this doesn't get get welded solid it will show threw the body filler in a short time, ALL seams to be welded 100%.
C'mon now... this isn't my first rodeo and I'm moderately OCD. That pic was "in process" and subsequently 100% welded with no pin holes... plus seam-sealed the back side.
One thing I like to do when doing wheel arches is to cut the panel in an arch instead of squaring it off with straight lines. I find it easier to hide the repair. My opinion would be to put the bedsides on it. Skilled body man could nearly have both sides done in a work day.
