I will be replacing my skin's this spring and if any one would like i can do a step by step to show how easy this is and what tools you need, i have both complete box side outer skins sitting here waiting.
I'd be interested in seeing that too...are the panels you have the same as what LMC carries?

i have an account with Sherman's here in Mich. I dont know how to do video's but i'll take tons of pic's and explain the best i can, i will do them using the most basic tools needed that alot of guy's have in there home shop/garage or can afford to buy to do the job, normally id use my plasma cutter alot to do this but i wont here and can do both sides start to finish in less than 8hrs,. If you dont have a welder yourself,i'll show you what to do to R&R so you can drive your truck to your buddy's or a shop that you can pay to do the welding for you. Where should i post this when the time comes????? Also, i will be doing door skins from this place, ive not used there parts yet but herd nothing but good and there the only ones ive found that come close to a full skin.

C'mon now... this isn't my first rodeo and I'm moderately OCD. That pic was "in process" and subsequently 100% welded with no pin holes... plus seam-sealed the back side.

One thing I like to do when doing wheel arches is to cut the panel in an arch instead of squaring it off with straight lines. I find it easier to hide the repair. My opinion would be to put the bedsides on it. Skilled body man could nearly have both sides done in a work day.

... at a shop rate of $75+ per hour...

Repro skins are about $300 each.

But if I didn't do it for a living I'd just buy a nice mig welder and do it myself.
