Idle speed

I drive a 1988 7.3 V8 Diesel
I was coming home yesterday and I noticed that when I would come to a stoplight the truck would Idle at less then 100 rpm but would not stall out or shut off (which I was afraid it would do). It was cold (around 30 degrees) and I think it may be the O2 sensor. But thats just me assuming. I also heard something about an idle sensor that may cause the problem. Any thoughts?

You can try posting in the pre Power stroke forum where there are more people following specific engines vs. general questions..
