90 Ford F150 XLT Lariat transmission problems

Hey everyone. Hope someone can help me with an issue I have with my 1990 F150 XLT Lariat, 5.0 V8 engine, and E4OD automatic transmission. I replaced the flywheel and now the truck cranks everytime i start it but I can feel no gears on the gearshift on the the steering column. The transmission worked fine before the flywheel was replaced but it seems like something isnt hooked up right somewhere. Ordinarily you can feel reverse, neutral, drive etc as you move the shift. I dont feel anything when move the shift so of course the truck won't move. Any ideas on what is going on here?

If you mean you don't feel the detents (bumps) each time you move the shifter to a new position, there are only a few ways that could happen.

First, the shift cable isn't connected to the trans.
Second, the linkage inside the trans happened to fall apart while you were working on the truck.
Third, the rooster comb (that's the part inside the trans the produces the detents) broke.

Yes sorry that is what i meant. I dont feel any bumps when i move the shift. I can make sure the linkage is connected or not, but how much would it cost to replace the linkage or the rooster comb of the tranny? Am I going to have to rebuild or replace the transmission now?

Replacing the rooster comb is not hard. The trans doesn't need to come out, just the pan has to come off.
