I put a shortcut on my desk top...makes it easier and quicker to bring it up when I want it.

You can also click on the start button,
Scroll down to the Accessories Folder, in that folder find "System Tools". Character Map is in the System Tools Folder.

I already knew about the degree thing it is 33° but some of the others I can't seem to get from my keyboard.

I guess you have to copy and paste from the character map if they don't have an ALT code to use. I think I am about ⅝ the way there. LOL

On my Mac, the degree symbol is simply OPTION+0. °°°

Do you have an option button or have to type that out. I wonder what all the F keys do, I do know that F5 refreshes.

Should have clarified, it is an option button. Makes it fast. Also on my I- phone, I just hold 0, and the option for ° comes up.

Well it's 28.9°F here at the moment, so at least I have this degree thing working for me, not sure I'll need any of the other symbols ...lol
