Come on out to Montana.......We are having a blizzard.......
6-8" of snow on the ground.........another 12+" expected by tomorrow.......wind blowing.......temps 10*F (-12*C) and dropping.........
I have a dog that thinks so. Snuggled up so tight on the hearth, if he gets any closer he'll leave singed hair on the glass door. I just cleaned it yesterday!
Having a bunch of fun today......About 12:50 I get word from Theresa's school that they are closing at 1300 due to the heavy snow and "Fun" roads. School will be closed tomorrow too. The trip into town was interesting....
First 4 miles......2 cars buried in the ditch.....snow is now a foot, with more in the ditch. Then at the truck stop, some poor driver took a corner to sharp (ya can't see the road) and dropped the rear of his trailer in a ditch. 2 tow trucks working on that. Then another 3 miles and another car is off the road in a big ditch......another tow truck working on that one.....
I got to the school, picked up Theresa and came home without any problems.
Still snowing and forecasted to continue through the night........

Just in from Madras; air museum was great. All the war birds from Tillamock are in there plus a B-25 and a B-17. Got to walk up to and under all of them.

This truck does very well in the snow. The only problem is stopping on the glare ice......
It has been my experience that getting going on snow and ice is the easy part. Stopping is where the pucker factor can sometimes exceed the capabilities of the human anatomy.

We had a huge 1/2 yellow Lab-1/2 Great Pyrenees dog that LOVED to snuggle up to heaters-wood stoves etc..........Once she snuggled up to a space heater so close, that she had a 6"x 6" area of singed grille marks on her azz-end...........We thought something was on fire, we were right!
She didn't seem to even notice she was about to catch fire.
