I have a 2012 ford f350 lariat. Last night I noticed my running lights are not working in the tail lights only. The signals, brake, and back up work fine. All other lights work fine on the truck. I am transiting home to the Yukon and am stuck until I can figure it out. I've checked the fuses, all ok. Any helpful folks with ideas? Thank you!
Stop and get a cheep test kit. Trace the power from the back forward or from where you know there is power towards the back. You should find a break in the wide somewhere.

Thanks for the replies. I began tracing the wires from the taillights forward. At the first plug located by the spare tire, I found running light plug from the cab side to be severely corroded and the wire was only green corrosion. I cut the wire further back and bypassed the plug back to the corresponding wire in the other side of the plug. It works now. Not a very good plug design in my opinion. Cheers! Back on the road!
From fuse #30 it feeds the rear park lamps and license plate lamps.
You bet! Fuse 30 was my first check. The problem was wire corrosion inside the plug located next to the spare tire and truck frame. Bypassed the plug with a wire to the other side of the plug, and they work again. Not to enthused about needing to replace the plug and connections on a truck less then two years old, but oh well!

If your still in the 3yr/36,000, it ought to be covered under warranty.
