I bought a '95 F=150 a few years ago with the speedo and odometer not working. I have no idea how many miles are on the vehicle. All I know is it runs great, no smoke and pretty good mileage. We installed a instrument cluster from a wreck and have the speedometer again. The odometer reads 335,000.
Is the mileage stored on the vehicle's computer or in the instrument itself? Does this truck really have that many miles? If so, truly impressive!
By the way, my regular truck is a 2002 F-250 Lariat with a 7.3. I have trouble choosing between the two... both are fantastic trucks. Oh, and the diesel does have 337,000 miles on the clock. Most of those miles were running veg oil.
Thanks. I had a feeling this truck didn't have that many miles.
I can imagine when I let someone borrow it. It's a really tight, smooth running truck. When they look down and see over 300,000 miles, they'll be truly amazed.
