Howdy!
I'm new here too, and from Australia.
I've owned my 72 F100 since March 2014 and its in pretty good condition. Has a 351 Cleveland, is manual 4 speed from the floor and runs on gas and petrol.
My next mission is to update the wheels, grille and cabin. I'm also planning on building wood panelling to sit above the bed sides, so will soon also be seeking to learn the basics of carpentry.
Cheers

Thanks for the welcome and yes, indeedy - legend has it, the Cleveland came from a Falcon. It also wasn't born with LPG either or the crappy stereo and dash guages some bright spark installed in the 80s! Also on the list of things to do...

I'm guessing by 'gas and petrol' you mean natural gas and gasoline. Is that common in Australia? Here in the states, at least in my home state of South Carolina, our natural gas was delivered in trucks that ran on natural gas. As a child I remember rather enjoying the smell of the exhaust.

Howdy Rockitt, I could do that. Just need to get up to speed first with how to post on here properly.

Yeah, dual fuel is pretty common here in older cars as the price of petrol (gasoline) isn't as cheap as it is in the States. Most vehicles are retro fitted with LPG (natural gas) tanks on board and you flick a switch on the dash, and voila! You're suddenly running on a different fuel type.
In fact, in my case, my truck was fitted with two huge LPG tanks and still has the original petrol tank behind the bench seat. The two LPG tanks were placed 1 x bed, under cabin window and 1 x under tailgate. I just had the bed one removed (and whole bed re painted) so I can sleep in the back if i ever want to. There really wasn't any need for so much fuel and it looked a bit fugly.
I'll post a photos soon.

Interesting that you's use LPG a lot there I didn't know that. What's a gallon of gasoline there? Prices have been dropping all over for it here. I never thought I'd see it below $2.00 again. This past week it got down to $1.99 a gallon. That's the best reason for painting a bed I've ever heard.
