Torque Converter

I need help on if I should do anything with my transmission/torque converter or just leave it as it is. It's a C6 by the way.

About my truck:
'85 F150 XLT Lariet
Stock axles and transfer case.
4 inch lift
33s
Main use is mudding a for a couple weeks but I want to maintain street-ability as well.

Motor:
Rebuilt 351W
Ported heads
Edelbrock RPM AirGap
(Please research as it moves the power band to 1500-6500)
Edelbrock performer-link timing chain and gears.
Advance 4 degrees.
Carter AFB carb 650 cfm
2 inch open plenum carb spacer
Bored .040 over

What are your stock axle ratios? You can look at the driver's door jamb and get the axle code. We can then decode it.

You didn't say anything about the camshaft and what it's rpm range is. It should somewhat match the intake manifold.

Looks like the cam matches the intake. Your gears are 3.50 to 1. Have you tried it yet? You are in the ballpark on everything. I would not worry about the torque converter yet. High stall converters create a lot of heat in the tranny.

If you find you are bogging down in the mud, you might have to change your gears to 4.10's.

It hasn't left the garage yet. Motor is still on the stand. Just wanted to make sure before I get everything back in. Thank you for the help.
