Chug,

Small world. I was at Sewart from August '66 to around November, '68.

Most folks never even heard of the place.

Yup. We "A" and "E" models.

And some little De Havilland C-7s.

I was originally in 314th Transportation, then went to HQ-64th there.

When you was in the back being "the man", did you enjoy the M240H?

If so, you are welcome....

Haha. The 240 is a bad ****. I didn't enjoy walking around with it. Our tacops guy thought it would be a good idea to practice PR in the desert. Longest 8 hours over there. Still remember when we left Kuwait. All those damn classes how everything will shoot you down. Sensory overload. Got to my bed and passed out for a solid 10 hours.
Here's some pics from back in the day and now.

Cool pics, I remember those days...

You do know there is a APU under that door right? And that is NOT the place to heat up your black bean and rice burrito MRE. lol
Doors off big boy club, remember to hold on to the map. lol
HGU-56 with a Maxillofacial Shield and a NVG flat pac. My original NVG's had one hockey puck battery and mounted with a hook and surgical tubing snapped to the sides.
Just because I eat pork and watch ****, I am not a Infidel. Yea right.
I once had to tell a WOJG that the NVG's work better.....wait for it.... with the caps off? lol X2, not really because we were already taxing out for line up.

I started crewing with a SPH-4 NON TPL liner, full face 5's and a M60D...pilots had cutaway PVS-5's. I am not complaining, at least we HAD NVG's.
