Eh, what's anyone gonna do with it? It's not like you can't find the same information in the phone book.
Agreed. As long as no one lists their Social and / or DOB they would probably be just fine.
I've been pretty well "outed" anyway thanks to some very nice people at News Papers in Portland and in Salem. Since I'm a retired LEO, my pension comes from a State Public Employee's Retirement Fund - Police & Fire Classification (along with a small Service Connected Disability Pension). These news papers filed suit against the state demanding the list and status of all PERS retiree's.
After a rather one sided fight a liberal Judge, democratic governor (who refused to try and stop it) and a Democratic AG, (who refused to stand up for us) ruled that the news papers could have the information as it was contained on a state data base subject to FOIA and the Public Records Law.
So all anyone has to do is know where to look. You will find Name, rank, years of service, amount of pension, etc., etc., etc..
Another little tid bit for Oregon. License Plate number, $10 and a trip to DMV and you can even find out what type of tattoo a person has below the bikini line.
Yikes, that's a bit more info than the freedom of information act vice the privacy act ought to allow.
ON THIS NOTE however, be sensitive to what is acceptable info to place online. Mission sensitive info such as movement, or other similar info needs to be guarded especially.
Your own ID is important too - although in my case any tango's that care to hunt me down at home WILL come under heavy fire from my entire neighborhood.
greywolf... I know what you mean. I live a bit off the beaten path myself ..but .if they want to find me it is easy..i am not hiding from anyone.. they better bring back-up......... it is better to burn out than to fade away
Agreed, that info is available upon request, but when your the guy pointing lasers at targets for tomahawks to come in, I get shunned by people as evil, even though that was over 20 years ago and with the drone's firing at free will. Come and knock on my door, I only worry about my neihbor across the street opening up and putting rounds thru my house, have to work that in our plan.
Reporting in along with the rest of my brothers and sisters:
Shawn Bryan, US Army, USAR, and VTARNG, 1970-1999, retired Major, now state chair of ESGR trying to help our guard and reserve soldiers and veterans find and keep meaningful employment. Here to help out any way I can.

I may have been a lowly REMF - but I learned a few things I maybe wasn't supposed to.
I would caution anyone against coming into my property any way except right down the driveway in plain sight. Those pretty hedges I grow around my place are not what they seem to be...
