Pizza hurts me. the problem is I can eat just 1 or 2 slices. I have to eat the whole entire pizza in one sitting. Then I lie awake in bed all night sick as a dog.

since this is a top speed thread, i thought i would throw this in.

Im in college station right now and no one was on the road on the way up here so i got her up to 100 and then the governer kicked in. It didnt feel like i was going 100 though.

 

It's quite possible that your speedo is off. Did you mount a lower profile tire when you lowered your truck. Your tires should measure 30 inches in diameter. If they measure less, then your speedo is off.

 

Sounds about right. My govenor kicks in at about 97 MPH. I've never actually put the needle on 100mph though. That will change shortly...I'd say in about 3 days.

 

Im using u as my test pilot, if the diablo removes ur top speed limiter, then Im taking out my superchip and getting a diablo.

 

I'll let you know. I am going to run it to see just how fast it will go on an open road about 3 miles out or town. I'm pretty excited.

 

my tires are the stock.... havent changed anything but the ride height. The speedo could be off. Who knows.... but i do know it hit 100.

Removing the top speed limiter is a good idea, and necessary, if your going to run your truck at the track.

However, the limiter was placed there for a reason. Reason being safety. Not only can you spend a night in jail for driving over 100 on public roads, but it's also very unsafe for yourself as well as other drivers who may be sharing the road.

Why do you need to drive at speeds over 100mph in a 2 ton vehicle?

I never take my truck over 85, and only for passing.

 

I once knew a guy who lived for adventure and excitment. He was a pretty cool dude in my opinion. Every once in a while he'd even take his bike out and show off some pretty sweet tricks and jumps. I gotta admit, I don't have the guts to do something like that right off, but I think if I practiced enough...I could get it. What's my point? He's a pretty intelligent young man with a lot going for him...he's helped me a lot. He even took over 4 seconds off his stock SCREW in like 4 months! I have a lot of respect for this individual. I hope we will meet again someday...
