Possibly Maybe in houston we can take a look at some of the bracket racers and any pro streeters if there are any? Talk to them? Ever notice how most of you VERY high end street/strip cars, or strictly strip racers have no sway bar?

BTW the reason not many people remove them is because on the road...HAHA....man it is funny to watch someone drive on the road wthout a sway bar.....if Talley ever takes his truck anywhere other than the strip, he would leave it on..

As far as the straight line and it not doing anyhting you are correct, it only matters on launch, when you get that nifty, unnerving twisting action goin on....it may not have as big an effeect on a truck as say my unibody stang wher it has hella twist when it lauches.

Well they don't have a sway bar because they don't need one. So why add the extra weight to a vehicle that's designed to only go straight. Those cars are usually trailered also.

Just like alot of strictly drag cars have those tiny little tires in the front, because there's no turning involved. But your truck is not a drag specific vehicle. I know where your coming from Jimmy but please don't take out your sway bar in the hopes of gaining a tenth or two, it's not worth it. I think that would make your truck very unsafe on the highway. Besides, it's alot of work taking that thing off. Leave it on please, we don't want to lose a good FTE member to a traffic accident.

BTW, if and I mean IF, I was to take it off for the strip, it would be back on befor I left to go anywhere....my truck already handles bad enough doing 90.....

No desert? Were you going to send him to Az and have him eat some sand? LoL. Maybe if you do that, I will reward you with a bowl of ice cream for dessert!

HA! Only we could turn a top speed thread into a sway bar thread. C'mon guys! As soon as I get that chip installed, I am going to go down this really LONG stretch of road and test my top speed.

Tom, when you got your chip, was the govenor overriddin?

Yes, and then turn the devoted sway bar thread into a 'How to become a member thread' Ah, I wonder if it is a 4.2 guy thing?

BTW the guy who delivered my pizza last night is a 4.2 guy, he is about to install a S/C on his truck...I told him about the site, do not know if he will visit us yet though

Was there "Sausage" on your pizza Jimmy Dean??

And yes Joe, I can burry my speedo now with no limiter.

And smooth as glass too i must say. Thanks to the 5" shaft.

Tom

p.s. ALL of our threads last many many pages and take on numerous subjects. But we always learn stuff all the time, and that's what it's all about.
