2013. I thought my remote start was having range problems until I learned to press harder on the buttons. This solved the problem, and now works out to about 150'.

I've tried my hardest to flatten my remote into oblivion. I don't think how hard we press the buttons is the difference. The next step is a sledgehammer, and I doubt it solves the range problem, but I will feel better until I have to pay for a replacement fob.

Yeah rubbing Alcohol will take it off no problem. I used a cue tip to wipe the stuff off mine. It worked like a pro after that!
