So this morning i tried to start the truck from the house and it was a no go. Went and got the extra set of keys and still no start. The power locks and panic both still work. If i remember right when you press the start button twice the lights would flash and then you press the lock button. I dont get the flash. Even doing the double start button and then the lock button all i get are locked doors. Going to get the oil changed tomorrow and will ask about it.

I believe you press lock first and then start twice...not start twice and then lock...at least that's the way I'm reading your post.
I was going to post that too... but then I looked at my fob and the instructions are all worn off! good luck to the next guy who tries to figure the remote start out
Glad to hear that all worked out with your problem. Does anybody know if you can use the stock remote start with an improved alarm system like Viper or Clifford?

I just posted about that yesterday.
My installer told me that he suspects that he will have trouble bypassing a Factory remote start. He says he could bypass another aftermarket easy but thinks he'll have trouble figuring out how to remove the factory one.
I asked because I was trying to get the dealer to remove that option from my order before it was too late. (he said it was too late)
I plan on adding a CompuStar system eventually and the money could have gone towards that.
