Im looking for a leveling kit for my late 99 f350. I know f350's are 1 tons with a solid front axle so it is just a block and longer bolts but im having a hard time finding a kit. they shouldn't cost to much since its just the block and bolts. anyone know of a kit that will work?
Icon has a 3.5" leveling kit that I used in the past and am probably going to use on my 2000 dually. Its a hanger kit, really liked it before and kept the same ride quality. They also have mini spring setups, but I think that might stiffen the spring pack.
Ok I thought you could block the front. So with the shackles you just replace them and that's all you need to do? I would like at least a 2 inch leveling kit.
There are several on the market so it all depends on what type of budget you are looking at in regards to how complicated you want to make it. Some kits have limited parts and its just a quick swap, others (more expensive) are a little more involved and require some extra work. You may need to also look at shocks as well as you are going up another 2" or so.
I did the Sanderson leveling mini spring kit off ebay. I did it in 08 and havent had any issues. The mini spring go under your current springs so the shocks arent affected and the steering wasnt altered. It was a pain to do this by myself, as the main springs moved as soon as the centering pin came free from the hole. I used every cago strap and bottle jack I had to get things lined back up, but I'm happy.
Gents,
I've got an F350 that's lifted 4" and I'd like to haul a 5th wheel RV. All the discussion above about leveling makes me question if I'll need any special kits before successful 5th wheeling.
