Wants new spring leveling kit on E99
Wants new spring leveling kit on E99
I have a early 99 Superduty (8/98) and I want a leveling kit that comes with new springs since I have a bent spring right now, I found one from Rough Country L99-04 FORD SUPER DUTY ROUGH COUNTRY 489S 2 INCH LEVELING KIT @ NTW but it's for later 99 superduty's.
My question is why will this kit not work on an earlier truck and is there a kit for E99's that comes with new springs? I've searched high and low on the web and can't find anything.

i have a eb99 as well, and i just installed a 3" kit on my front end (actually went up about 3.5"). mnpowerstroke99duty is right...the u-bolts on later models are round and ours are square. and the difference in the panhard bar is a 3/4" hole compared to the later model 1" hole.
i looked hi and low for a kit, and i finally got a leveling kit from maxx lift. the website and everything about it was pretty squirrely, but they were actually a big help (with customer service stuff) and it was a pretty decent kit. i would do it again. google maxx lift and you should be able to find it.
i did have to go to the local tractor supply and buy a couple of grade 8 bolts, but other than those, everything was supplied. hope this helps.

allot of guys simply drill out the brackets to one inch and use the newer tract bar, the ubolts are simple to get at any spring shop or offroad company and the front springs are all the same no matter year
