The engine from my 49 f-1 is out getting redone.What color were they origially? There is some red(dark like blood red) on the bell housing,is that correct. This is not a show truck,just want it to look nice.
This is Duplicolor rattle can Ford Red engine paint from NAPA. Make sure to wear a painters mask as it seems to leave a fine dust over everything except what you are spraying. The dust does wipe off but I'm sure that it isn't good for your lungs.
When I cleaned up the block the original red paint had turned pink after 64 years.
