Its the oilfields in the North Slope of AK.

With it being so cold nobody shuts their trucks off during the 12 hour period they are working. I went 110 miles on a little over 19 gallons.

Same price for Gas or Diesel.

Anyhow, you mention N.Ky.
If you're close enough to any United Dairy Farmer's stores their U-Drive incentive system is one of the very few I've ever participated in---its well worth checking into if it would be convenient.

Basically you accumulate a per gallon price discount based upon other purchases made inside one of their stores. When you choose to use the discount its a one time thing, can pump up to 25 gallons max at the discounted price. So far I have a $1.34 discount, daily price now hovering around $1.909/gallon.

Its a bit freaky filling up and the tab is less than $15!

I have their U-Drive card as well as a Kroger card, Love's, Pilot/Flying J, T/A, Speedway, drivers license, health insurance, auto insurance, 2 credit cards, discount hotel cards, concealed carry, medical card, NRA membership card, 2 electronic keys, 2 gun club membership cards, Dicks/Field and Stream card, and sometimes a little cash!!

And I use all of them when I can, though I try to avoid the credit cards except for business and fuel.

The Safeway system works the same way, it's nice because you can get stuff on a really good sale fairly often, then save at the gas station too.

The crappy part is, at least here here they cap the discounted sale limit to 25 Gallons. Fred Myers allows 35 Gallons.

Prices are going up here, most stations are at $1.89. I filled up at Meijer's last night for $1.79. Gas Buddy saved me 10 cents/gallon on 29 gallons. It was a little early to fill up but I wanted to get some gas at the lower price.

It's been coming steadily down up here, for the first time I paid less than $2.00/gallon last night.
