Bought another one

I came across this a few days ago. It's a '76 F-250 with 4 wheel drive and a dually. Traded two guns for it and drive it home last night. It needs quite a bit of work, so I will be asking lots of questions!

How did you know that is exactly the type of women I like to haul around? Something about them making the world go round I guess. Needed a new farm truck and found this on craigslist. The owner was more interested in guns than money, so we traded. Its a 4 speed with few options. No rust in the cab corners, rockers or floor pan. The owner said it had a 390, but I didn't think they put those in 4 wheel drives. I figure it has a 360. I have already started a list of things to start on and have already bought a new set of mile marker lock outs. I have a friend with a '76 that has been sitting a while. He offered the truck to me for a parts truck. I figured I would keep it as is, but after seeing that red one, the wheels have started to turn

Well, now that we got your attention, congratulations on the purchase. It looks like the truck is a good base to start from. I know exactly jack squat about 4x4's and don't mind being upfront about it, but I've driven 6 wheelers most of my life, over 35 years of them. One of the first things you'll need to know about duallies is that you have at least 30" of rubber on the rear axle so you don't have much traction when your empty, especially with a flat deck, good thing you got an axle up front as it will come in handy. 77&79 seems to have a herd of 4x4's so he's a good one for advice. Have fun with the truck and keep us in the loop as your upgrading it.
