Okay so my brother is a huge Nicholas Cage fan and yesterday I was scrolling through Ebay for the heck of it and I found this truck:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-F-150-2-DOORS-FORD-F-150-FLARESIDE-PICK-UP-TRUCK-USED-TO-BELONGED-TO-ACTOR-NICOLAS-CAGE-/181600163884?forcerrptr=true&hash=item2a4836982c&item=181600163884&pt=US_Cars_Trucks
They are saying that it used to be owned by Nicholas Cage and that is the reasoning for the price being so high. I was curious if anybody knows or thinks that this is true as we were just wondering.

No pictures of the engine, without buying the carfax on it, or seeing a signed portion of the truck, I'm going to say no. The truck is a custom piece, no doubt about it, and very pristine condition from what the only 3 pictures show, but I'm going to doubt its authenticity until I see previous ownership. Also, 21 records for that truck and that low mileage, throw a giant, red flag no-buy in my book. 21 records would indicate it changed hands quite a few times in the last 22 years, or something happened to the truck to get that many records. If Cage owned that truck, there would be a picture of him with it somewhere.
What difference does it make if someone famous owed it or not, only a sucker would pay more than the truck itself is worth, and yes I realize this is often the case with exotic collectable cars but this ain't an exotic collectable.

Well, it's kind of like an autograph or memorabilia.
However, in this case, if there are no docs, there's no value. If you pay more based on a verbal claim of a famous previous owner, you are a sucker.
Ya personally I agree with this all being said. I just was curious as to if somebody as big as Nicholas Cage owned one of our body style trucks. Not that I am the biggest fan of his movies.

or perhaps the better question might be,if you had access to multi thousand dollar collector and super cars, would you waste your time with a 90's pickup truck? i wouldn't.id be in that cuda every chance i got.
Click on sellers other items, they are a pawn shop in the hills. Not the first place I'd go to buy a truck. Maybe in that condition, and the miles are correct, its probably worth 5 or 6. not 10k with a reserve.

My '92 looks just like that one...I find it to be exotic.
