There appears to be some question as to whether or not they replaced the hoses when they put the new calipers on. Trying to figure it all out.
I'll keep working on it buy I owe taxes this year so I don't have a lot of money to throw at it right now.
If the hoses weren't replaced, that's easy to do myself. How hard is it to replace a fluid control valve?
Had I known, in advance, that it would have gone this route, I would have bought every single part and would have taken it to my mechanic across the Bay. This thing turned into a beast though - no one could have forecasted this kind of a **** storm.
Didn't replace the brake hoses yet? I guess you think I was joking? BTDT, got the T shirt too!
No need for this snarky tone----GCVT has been through the wringer on this, he's pedaling as fast as he can---not everything is done to someone else's time schedule.
But GCVT you've had the worst of luck here and are to be congratulated if only for hanging in there despite it all---I'd have already called the wrecker.
I just need to get down there and talk to my mechanic in person. Such a busy shop there's no way to get him on the phone. Gotta figure out if the hoses were done or not. Then I'll know what to do next.
