DC Power Alternator ?

I have the OEM 110 amp alternator. My SG reads about 11.7 VDC after start. It stays there until the 30 second GP cycle completes. I know when it completes because my fuel pressure gauge goes from 50 psi to 65 psi and my headlights get brighter. I run an AD2 fuel pump. I ordered a DC Power 250 amp alternator. I'm assuming, after install after I start the motor, the idle voltage will be 14.2 VDC since the pulley is smaller and the alternator is turning faster. Lights should be bright and fuel pressure should be 65 psi. Good assumption?

Regardless of how much amperage your alternator creates, you should still expect between 14.2-14.4 volts at your passenger battery terminal connection from the alternator, depending on your voltage regulator and line leakage.
A higher rated amperage alternator won't change your regulator voltage requirements. It might however, reduce the time before your regulator reduces the voltage sent to your charging batteries.

During GP cycle with that alternator you might expect about 13.0-13.5 volts as observed at the OBD port.

I have a 240 Mechman and see 13.0-13.2 after start.

I just put on a DC Power 250 amp alternator and I am seeing 14.1 to 14.3 after starting and after the GP cycle off. Before my headlights would dim and my air compressor would run slow when the GP were on. I can no longer tell when they turn off. Before the swap I wouldn't see much over 13 with GP off and low 12s with them on.

Installed DC 250 last night. Started cold and immediately got 14.8 on SG. It stayed at 14.6 and eventually went to 14.2. Cold start this morning and got 11.2/11.4 for about 3 seconds then went to 14.6 and stayed there for 20 minute trip to work. No dim headlights and AD2 fuel pump was between 75 to 80 psi vice the previous 55 to 60 psi. All interior lights and instrument panel lights were brighter.

One install problem. DC pulley is 60mm with OEM pulley being 65mm. I tried to use the 3 DC furnished spacers but could not get belt back on. Tensioner bottomed out. Had spacers 1/2 the height of the furnished spacers and they worked fine. Probably did not need spacers.
