1st time excursion owner
I just signed up, been lurking for a couple of months.
Just bought(6 weeks ago) a 2004 excusion with the V8 gas and really enjoying the truck. Yes for my use the V8 is perfect and more then enough get up and go.
It's because of you guys I turned to the excursion and not a surburban. I do believe it was the perfect choice. I've always owned fords from a thunderbird, to vans, f450, still own f250 with V10 and stick. Now the excursion.
The wife loves the truck too, and it is a truck. Love the feel of that thing. Reminds me of why I enjoy fords.
I have to say thanks to some of you already.
I did a swap out of the hatch lift arms to the extented design, much better, I don't hit my head anymore.
Will be changing some of the lamps to LED in a couple days.
I've already added the airlift airbags with compressor to help get rid of a bit of sag when I trailer. What's nice is I don't have to run much more than 10lbs of air when not towing to help with the towing side later. The added weight makes the the ride a bit firmer but I don't have to increase the air pressure any greater beyond that 10 starting base line.
You guys are a wealth of info.

FYI -3V engines never came in Excursions.
