'05 powersteering issues
I have some chirping under the hood and think i have found multiple issues, and would really appreciate your input. I replaced the two stationary idlers as they were not rolling smooth and the loud chirping went away. I still have a squeek and then metallic screaching noise when turning when cold. Noise goes away when warm. I loosened the belt again and grabbed front of power steering pulley and can move it in and out a noticable amount, probably a hair less than 1/8". The belt tensioner pulleys check out good. Any experience with power steering pump problems and changing them out, special tools, etc. i'll have to rent the clam shell puller for the pulley.
