OK, I read my service manual and followed it closely.....
I raised the wpier arm and unlocked the sliding clip
while holding arm up, I attempted to remove arm from pivot shaft. It will not come off! It moves up/down (about 1/8" play) but it feels like it is hitting something. I can't see what it might be hitting. I tried it several times but it simply will not come off.
What's up with this? Any of you experience this and if so, how did you solve?
I haven't had that problem, but I always feel as though im gonna jerk out the entire housing when trying. You may just need to tap the sides of the arm where it pivots or try to "gently" pry at it with a tool of your choice. Usually if the one doesn't come off, I take a break, and go to the other one. It always seems that the other comes off better than the first one.
