Choke cable 1949
The choke cable opening in the dash is large, size of my thumb, yet the replacement cables from various vendors has a small backstop which is too small for the opening. Is there another part I am missing for the dash or do I need to hunt down an OEM cable?

The hole in the dash for the choke cable measures 11/16" high with the top and bottom being round. The vertical sides of the hole are a slightly less dimension and straight. That is small thumb size. The stock cable base fits into this size and twists to lock.

11/16" is pretty darn close to 3/4", like how big is your thumb?
Thats a huge hole. Who sells that locking cable. I have looked at Carpenter, Macs, LMC and CG&G and they are all small and non locking.
