The basic part numbers are the same, but the tilt steering column bearings are not the same as your 1974 F350 (all F350's thru 1978 are 2WD).
Only basic part numbers are shown in parts catalog illustrations. The text section is required to get the complete part number by adding the apropos prefix and suffix.
Thanks for the part number update Bill. Also thanks for the catch on the part number, I was looking at the engineering number while I was typing the part number....oops!
Also don't assume the bearings are bad. I soaked the old ones in pain't thinner and cleaned the dirt and sand and I could of reused them. But I bought the new one all ready. I saved the old ones.
Thanks for all the input........especially Number Dummy and Mike OOOoOOO. Been too busy over the holidays to get it torn down and figure out which bearing it actually has. But seems like availability and price aren't that big of a deal so think I will get one of each bearing ordered and have both here the next time I get home. Again, thanks to everyone!
Ok..........got both bearings ordered from Silver State Ford, but the turn signal switch has been discontinued no longer available. However, I contacted NOS parts and the fellow told me that one from an '87 will work by cutting the red and black wire. However, he didn't have one so he gave me the phone # for Haven Ford, who did stock one. Part # for that switch is: E7TZ-13341-B. I went ahead and ordered it from Haven Ford, so we will see......... He also gave me the NAPA part# for the correct switch: DL 6133;so I do have a backup plan LOL. Not sure if my parts will arrive before I have to head back to work, but will post detailed info when I get a chance to rebuild this thing. Thanks again to all members, sponsors and others who have helped out on this.
