Lowering Shackles

I have a pair of Crown 2in lowering shackles that I am thinking about installing on my 64 F100 Flareside to even out the F/R rake.

It looks like on the drivers side that the shackle will clear the bed floor. On the passenger side it looks like the shackle may hit.

I don't understand how that can be. The distance from the spring mount to the bed should be the same on both sides. Even when the frame twists, that distance should not change.

I could shim the bed 1/4-1/2in to make sure that I have the needed room, but I would rather not if I can avoid it.

I was looking at mine the other day and thought what about moving the spring mounts up by removing the rivets and re drilling?

I already own the shackles.

Im only interested in putting them on if its a direct bolt on, 1-2hr task, I have to many other irons in the fire to take the rear suspension apart.

The left side clears, its the right side that looks like it may hit the bottom of the bed. I don't understand how that can be. Both side should be identical.
