Rear lowering shackle

I'm wondering if anyone has installed the rear lowering shackle on a 53-56 truck. MF sells them and states it will lower the rearend by 2 inches. How difficult are these to install and do they work?

I replaced mine about 2 months ago and it was not to difficult even for a novis. Getting the spring studs out was the hardest thing. I had to really beat the crap out of them. You might want to remove the second bed bolt from the tailgate on each side as my shackles bend them when I sat the truck down. One have about 1/4 inch clearance between the shackles and the bed. I used them with reverse eye main leafs and felt like it dropped about 2 1/2 total. Still not happy with the stance and think I will flip the front spring hanger this winter.

I put a pair on my 56. It was a piece of cake and lowered the rear about 1-1/2. They do just barely clear the bed wood, so you couldn't put 3" drop shackles on it.
