Boy is work slow today. Weird for both a Monday and after a holiday.
It would make 40psi even with a hole in the piston?

I am not sure Chris. I have never checked compression after burning a hole in a piston. I just tore it down. Likely if that is what you did there would be aluminum residue on the spark plug. Could maybe be stuck rings or a broken piston skirt too I suppose.

My buddy seems to think it's going to be stuck rings. I think I'll pull the head off after work. Will I see anything obvious for the stuck rings or should I pull the jug too?

You will need to pull the jug to see the rings. (that just sounds all kinds of dirty) LOL

If there was a hole in the piston compression would be 0. Probably stuck rings and scored cylinder probably

There was no hole in the piston. There is a hole in the crankcase though. The mag side piston dropped it's skirts

Good evening guys.
That's some good carnage there Chris.
Looks like a meltdown and then the skirts broke.
Torn boot, plugged jet, bad crank seal.....

Boots looked fine. I think this has been having issues since before I bought the sled. Lots of damage on that piston
