Anyone know the best way to adjust idle on my 600 XLT? Is there a factory number of turns?
What I usually do is turn all the idle screws out until the slide is bottomed out. Then turn each one in until the slide just starts to move + 1/2 turn and go from there. Idle will likely be low but it is a starting point.
Make sure the air screws are out 1 turn from lightly seated too.
Did you ever try syncing the carbs on your FIL's sled?

No, I did not mess with the settings on his when I cleaned his. We had it running last time and just had to use starting fluid to get it started. We drove it up and down the yard multiple times. Replaced the fuel pump last night and can't even get it to start now. Might need a GTG to figure this out.

I'm all for a GTG once I get home. Doesn't sound like there is any snow to ride on anyway, so might as well fix them in case it does snow this year....
