i just bought a 65 f250 last week. It has a 240 6 cylinder in it and doesnt run.I have a 351 windsor that was in a bronco that i am going to put in it and do a few other minor things to it. Then just drive it. My first truck was a 66 f100 and wanted another ever since.Iforgot i only gave 700 dollars for it i think it was pretty cheap
i am wondering if anyone knows will the 351w out of a 81 bronco fit in my 65 i know i need motor mount trees but im wonering if the oil pan thats on the motor out of the bronco will clear the cross member thanks
Any stock oil pan (2wd or 4wd) on the 351 will clear the front cross member. There might be an issue with the oil drain plug location being in a hard to reach.
A Bronco would have had a rear sump pan, as would other 4wd rigs. You won't have any tie rod clearance issues either.
thanks for the help i thought it looked like it will clear if not a 302 one is the same correct? i have one of those from my parts that i have from years ago working on these truck
