Taking a poll on tires

So I'm curious what you all think. The rims are going to get polished and the center cap is going to be chrome instead of the black ones on there now. The truck needs new tires due to dry rot. The question is: Do I keep the white wall look or go with a raised white letter tire? Thoughts? Thanks!

i've always loved the raised white lettering, but that looks sweet, so i vote to stay with the white walls.

Personal call bro. Any of above is cool by me on your truck.

I like the whitewall on white rims with chrome hubcaps or wide whites on chrome rims.

On slotted mags I like the white letters.

The thin white walls kinda go with the flow of the little pin stripe you have on the side so I vote white walls

My vote would be for raised white letters. My original wheels are mounted with black sidewall tires for when I want the vintage look

Appearance regardless inside or out is up to you the owner.
Polls like this don't really matter. What matters is, are you going to be happy?
You have to look at it everyday, you're the one who drives it, it's your decision.
Your mind might be changed by a "Poll" but will you be happy?
Would you do the same for paint color?
So the question is, "What do you want?"

Wheels and tires should be what goes with the rest of the truck.

Lose the wood wings, the late model mirrors and go with black walls.

All your trucks are beautiful and cool and unique. My take on whitewalls they are tires for cars and not all cars look good with whitewalls. Black walls are OK if it is a cool tire like Goodyear Eagles or raised white letters like the Pirelli's or the like. Again rims are whatever turns you on, white spoke, mag or chrome.

They all look good if you like it.
Happy driving.....

I'd go with thin white walls. I think they set your truck off nicely, where as the white letters look better on modern wheels, and thick whites look best with chrome dog dishes. Just my opinion, of course, but I hope it helps.

OK Shadow. I didn't get home when I thought I would but I have the sizes now. The wheels are 15x 7 front with 215 65R 15 tires up front and the rears are 15 x 8.5 with 275 60R 15 tires. I think I am going to go with a taller tire on the front as I think it nose dives a little more than I like.

Here is a quote from a post on my build. I have gone to a taller front tire since I posted this. I went to a 235 60 15 front tire. It is about an inch and 3/4 taller and the tread width was about the same. I looks quite a bit better but do not have a picture with that tire on the front. The tires are Coopers and the wheels are American racing Vintage torque thrust with a 5 X 5 1/2 bolt pattern. Summit Racing was the only place I could find the 5 1/2 bolt patter in the Vintage series wheel

These old girls look good in just about any shoes. The raised letter, either solid or outline, give them a sportier look and go well with chrome bumpers and other dressy trim. White walls are more period correct or black walls for the basic look.

I run Goodyear Wrangler with the white letters showing and chrome rims. They look fat and out of place on my Wimbledon white truck with color matching bumpers, a real basic truck. I want a taller, narrower tire with black walls and stock rims and hub caps. I saw a picture of a forums member's truck with tall mud tread and "Co-op" black letters, those were cool.
