I have a f250 super duty 4x4 v10 trition. ive got 38 size tires and a 6inch lift on it. ive been trying to do my research on which chip would be the best for me. i want the option to for power but i also need a gas saver option for this long trip i have coming up. im lacking alot of power and i know its due to the tires. so im getting the diffs regeared, but im sure i still want more power. every site i have been to is sugesting Superchips 1842 Flashpaq Tuner. but im afraid that it wont due what im asking. all most every review i see is not so good. what chip would be best for my truck
Everything I've read say the guys at 5 Star Tuning are the best on these motors.
I will say that they're honest. I emailed them about doing something for better mileage on a 2001 F450 with cable splicer box and bucket on it. They got back to me pretty quick and stated that they could get me maybe 1 MPG better and that it wasn't really worth my spending the money.

Big tires and deep gears, then want gas mileage? This doesn't really fit in the same sentence. But the best any tuner will probably give you won't be worth the money. Just my opinion, tho!
No tuner no matter who it's from will give you the power the proper gears will give you. Also you'll never have decent mpg with those size tires, so you have to decide do you want power (gears) or mpg (going down in lift height and tire size)
Plus, pressing less on the go pedal gives you more mpg for free, while accelerating. Then drive 5 mph slower and you will see an improvement.
If you idle for hours each day while using the bucket (getting 0 mpg) your mpg isn't realistically going to change unless you drive long distances.
The original poster doesn't have a bucket, but I do. The bucket hydraulics run off a large battery, the truck doesn't need to be running and never does when I'm in the bucket.
It's a common misconception that all bucket trucks run off PTO and need the motor running.
I believe there is a five star tuned sct tuner in the market place for a v10. Click on one there and check it out could save you $$ so you can try it out for less.
yes, the magic "chip" that will give you a lean mixture when you don't need power so you get good MPG, and a richer mixture when you need power and don't care about MPG.
Ive had intakes tuners etc in my F350, the ONLY thing that made a diffetence was changing the gears. Im now back to stock intake and computer tune and running 4.30 gears with a transgo hd shift kit. Truck has never been better or shifted nicer
