Was filling up from my home bulk tank last night and also filling up my extra tank in the bed. Noticed when I came back out from dinner that I had Diesel all over the driveway. Best I could see it was coming out from on top of the truck tank under the bed. Did not appear it was draining out where the fill tube goes in or the breather hose. Looked like it was a little further back maybe where the pick up lines for the fuel lines go? Is there some kind of overflow one these or do I have some kind of hole or loose connection?
There are two vents that connect into one up line to vent into the fill tube jut below the cap.
The end fittings just push into a gromet that often dry-rots the fitting canbounce out and lay on top the tank. Sometimes while filling fast fuel will enter that vent lines and can pour out on top the tank then run down.
I have found this a few times. Or sometimes the hose splits.
