1956 F100 tail light socket replacement?
I have the aftermarket stainless taillights on my truck, and one needs a socket already. The contact plate isn't pressing tight enough against the bulb for the taillight to work, only the stop and turn signal work. I don't see how to take the socket out of this housing, and I don't want to buy another expensive taillight assembly if I don't have to. Any tips?

Most auto parts stores will have socket repair kits. That's what I used in my vehicles that I have rewired.

You might also pull the spring out of yours and head to the hardware store for one a little stronger than the one you have.
