I picked up an interesting book at a flea market, Ford at Fifty, copyright by the Ford Motor Company, 1953. It has a dealer stamp inside, Schlozman Motor Co. Kansas City 1, Mo. I'm sure the colors in the photo didn't reproduce true to color. I noticed they are calling the passenger car engines orange and the truck engines in the photo are green. I didn't know Ford had any green engines in '53. The original engine in my '49, I had always thought was red. Is that the same color they are calling orange in the photo, or were the '53 engines different? Sorry the photo is so grainy, it was quite a bit smaller in the book. The colors in this post look pretty true to the book.
Thanks, Mark
