EGR Issue
I have a 2006 6.0. The check engine light came on and presumed from the code excessive egr flow that the egr valve was bag so i replace it the intake was dry but there was some carbine built up. What else should i look at.

Code was P0402 yes i cleared the code. As i watch the EGR ERR % it reads 99.2 where the EGR CMD reads 29.2 then drops tozeroafter about 10 minutes

I found a bad EGR valve by watching the valves driven and measured values on my Scangauge2. The measured value should follow the driven value very close.

Did you clean as much of the carbon out as you could? A shop vac works well for it. Next I would check the wiring pigtail for chafing and clean the connector. When reconnecting, use some dielectric grease.
