Looks really good. I will have many questions for you sir in the near future. This is exactly what I plan to install on my panel only I have a tbird rear out of the newer version 02-05, kinda fell into my lap so that's what I went with. I bought the lexus front a few months ago and will have some questions about the steering eventually. Congratulations on getting the work done. What are the coilovers you went with?
A few more questions, what kind of drop did you get with the lexus front? and what is the angle of your lower control arms, level or at a slight upward angle?
Lola's Panel, the arms are at a slightly uphill angle, just barely though. I talked to a lexus tech, he said they would be fine. overall drop is about 4.5 to 5 inches. The pic of the front has a 255 45 18 under the fender.
It installed just like a smaller version of the crown vic front end that everyone else is trying to use. Crush tubes in the frame, and bolted right in. Just had to slightly angle the mounting bosses of the lexus crossmember to get the right 3 degrees of anti dive built in.
Hardest part is fabbing the rear lower control arm crossmember.
So you shaved the aluminum crossmember down a bit to get the right angle on it? I didn't know there was a specific angle it needed to be placed at. Could you elaborate on that a little more possibly? Did your lexus tech check out your ball joints in your LCAs too?, I think mine are not going to be usable and the cheapest I can find new LCAs is 250 per side since the ball joints are not serviceable. I'm curious if you looked into this at all?
The Front bumpers are from a 68-72 corvette (rears) i am running the same on the rear of the truck also. I fabbed all the brackets off the frame to fit through the small slots i cut in the front valance, and cut the factory vette mounts out of the inside of the bumpers, and made new ones also.
The front end is out of a 97 lexus sc 400 the rear out of a 96 t bird.
Thanks John. Its been a pretty fun year. Feel i got a lot done considering what I started with..bone stock 6 cyl 3 speed. trying to save money where i can without taking any shortcuts. That means fabbing/engineering everything in house. My plasma cutter and welder have been my best friends!! lol
Love the bumpers! Will they work with front fender mod?

WOW! Absolutely love the front bumper choice.
I'm planning on moving my front IFS forward 5" (and modifying my front fender openings by moving them forward as well).
How far back does the bumper wrap on the side?
Can you tell me how much distance do you have from the lip of the front fender to the side edge of the bumper?
Did I understand that you also had to cut the factory mounts out of the bumper? What were you able to do by making new mounts that you weren't able to do with the ones that come on the bumper (or is it just making the new brackets)? Please clarify for me.
Great job.
Hey there, this is a sweet set up! I picked up one for my 53. I'm running a 302 and I was wondering about the power steering pump set up, any ideas if the 89 mustang pump will work if I get hoses made up? And did you lean the upper a arms forward or backward to get your angle set? Thanks it looks awesome!

Power steering pump from the mustang will work . Just had a hose made to go from the stock ford swivel fitting to the curved banjo fitting in the pressure side of the rack. Just flip all the wires on the Lexus rack as you obviously won't need any of those . Steers great ! Angle for anti dive and geometry was set at factory Lexus 3 degrees by cutting mounting bosses on crossmember where they meet the frame. Don't forget crush tubes in the frame and box in whole front section of frame.
