Hey there, just checking in to see how your build is goin? I got the call today from the machine shop that my motor is ready for pick up. Getting ready to put it together. Any tips or ideas on motor and transmission mounts? By the way what length coil overs did you use on the front end or how did you determine the length to use?

I can get a few pics for you. I used factory ford rubber mounts to the block and made my own from the block to the frame. The trans mount was just a standard universal c-4 c-6 AOD crossmember and rubber factory mount. Coil overs are double adjustable / dampened QA1's with 9 inch 500 lb springs. Might have to go up another 50 lb on springs but won't know till I get some miles on her.
I cut the splines off the end of the factory connection to the rack, then just used a 3/4 DD connector , a short piece of DD shaft and connected it to my flaming river column with the standard 3/4 x 1 DD connector. It's almost perfectly straight.super easy.
The photo shows the latest connection eliminated the lower one and just used the Lexus joint and the upper 1 x 3/4 to connect to the column . I had forgotten I had updated it.
Make sure you check the angle for the anti dive. And obviously you will have to fab the lower trailing arm mounts. I have a crossmember that was fabbed so I was able to eliminate the factory one.
Nope just shorty from fox body mustang . Don't need block huggers with the Lexus like ya do with the M2. Much cheaper. Bought the ceramic coated for way less than they wanted for painted block huggers
