Check Engine Light

I don't have a code reader and no one close that is a power stroke mechanic. Engine light comes on when you first crank and truck runs fine then when warms up light goes off and truck runs awful. At idle it sounds like its hitting on 4 out of 8. Will choke down at idle but cranks right back up. 238000 miles. Thanks Carl

To me it sounds like your UVCH is loose or what is known as the 50 cent mod. Check out the link and see if it fits your situation and let us know.
